Merry Christmas And Why You Should Post Often
First of all I wish all you guys a very happy christmas/hanukka/holiday . I was away on holiday in portugal for the last week, it was quite good and I forgot about my blog in all the stuff that was going on. When I came back I knew my blog would lose some traffic, but I didn’t expect it to be in this state. Yesterday I got only 1 vistor! A week ago I was getting about 20-30+ UVD.
I was always told that you should update your blog frequently, some even say that you have to post daily, but I never took them seriously. Now after I made this mistake my self, and experinced it first hand I’ll never go more than 3-4 days without posting again!
Hopefully those of you who were like me, and think that if you don’t post nothing will happen will learn from what happened to me and you won’t have to experince this first hand. Like that quote which goes something like :
A smart man learns from his mistakes; a wise man learns from the mistakes of others

I am posting an average of about 1 article every week and I guess my readers are getting used to it. The rest of the days are spent on marketing my post. There is pros and cons in using this kind of technique but it works well if you know how to handle it.

I don’t know if there’s really an added benefit to posting very frequently. Your time is better spent building backlinks.

Another thing I forgot to mention…you can tap into holiday related traffic if you post more during this time of the year. This is an important thing to keep in mind.

Sure, you could get traffic without posting, but not as much as when you do post.
